for their Turbo Vented brake dust shields following extensive testing
on a Mercedes SL. A surprising result to them was that the braking system
actually ran cooler with the dust shields installed and this was put down
to the fact that the extra area of aluminum in the back of the wheel along
with the directional air vents assisted the heat dissipation resulting
in the lower operating temperature of the braking system.
